It was great to hear from so many of you that our updates on the recent disorder were useful in helping you determine how long to keep the business open, and assess the real risks your employees faced and the level of threat to your premises.

Disruption to businesses at the Angel was less than expected - considering how close we are geographically to Hackney and Haringey - and it’s thought that looters were put off because local police mobilised quickly. The Angel is high-profile for business and the Angel Police Team means we are known for our high police presence.

Our team have kept the area increasingly under control, sending a zero-tolerance message to known criminals and catching and convicting regular shoplifters, many of whom no longer bother round here.
