Angel Town Centre Management Group worked to improve the area until 2004 when manager Christine Lovett proposed setting up a business improvement district to ensure a sustainable financial future for its services. With London Development Agency support, over the next two years ATCMG consulted and canvassed local businesses, of whom 77% who voted said yes to the BID in March 2007.
